How to Buy or Commission a painting
To Buy
Please email Alix stating what you are interested in and include a telephone number.
Alix will confirm availability and the price, including post and packaging where relevant: frequently FREE within the UK.
If you wish to proceed, she will send you an Invoice for the agreed amount.
- Online payment from you bank to Alix's account (BACS). You will need to email for details once a sale is agreed.
- Payment by credit or debit card or bank transfer: easily and securely via PayPal. Payment by instalments may be possible. You do not need a PayPal account to use this charge-free method.
Once your payment has been received, Alix will despatch your order by the most appropriate means and inform you by email that this has been done and give you the Tracking Number.
If you wish to buy Prints, Cards or Military Caricature Prints: your order can be placed through the relevant Shop.
To Commission
What is more personal than having a painting done just for pleasure or to mark a special occasion?
Alix is very happy to discuss what you might want, to work out a price and the timescale.

- Where a commission is so particular to you that it would not be of appeal or sellable elsewhere, a deposit will be required.
- You will be kept fully informed as the work progresses and Alix will provide you with an image by email of the finished piece for approval before final payment is required.
- As a rule, copyright of a painting remains with Alix but other arrangements can be discussed.

Some works may not be available as they might be very new, drying, with a gallery or intended for exhibition.
Payment by instalments might also be possible if that helps your budget.
Studio Visits
Visits are welcome but by appointment only - an artist's working environment is generally rather chaotic (Alix's certainly is) and a bit of notice is required! Please contact her.

Returns Policy
Alix hopes that buyers are happy with their orders but there are some rules if they are not:
- The Buyer will need to return an order within 7 working days from receipt of the order in the UK or 14 days for overseas customers.
- The Buyer pays for returns using a fine art courier for original work or Registered Post (in both cases with insurance for the full value) or Signed For Postage for printed items.
- Shipping/Postage charges are not reimbursed for returning orders.
- Orders not returned in the original state will be automatically returned to the Buyer.
- The Buyer must return an order using the original or similar quality packaging that it was despatched in.
- If an order has been received by the Buyer in a damages state, photographic proof will be required.
Refunds: If a return is due to a Buyer's error a small deduction will be made to cover Alix's costs (such as PayPal charges) and time spent on resolving the matter.
